Fringe Tickets On Sale On Line

You can now buy tickets on line for over 100 of this year's Fringe shows.
More than 30 shows are selling tickets through the Buxton Opera House box office - our thanks to the Opera House team for setting this up so efficiently.

Underground Venues has its own on line box office and tickets for 75 shows can be bought there.

For many shows it will be possible to get tickets on the door but please don't assume that to be the case. The comedy nights at Underground, Butterfly Theatre's Romeo and Juliet in Poole's Cavern will be sold-out in advance and so booking is strongly recommended. Some venues are quite small - The Pauper's Pit seats just 40, for example - and it doesn't take long for them all to go once a show generates a bit of a buzz.

We're also starting to see flyers for Fringe events appearing around the town. Among the first were Nathan Cassidy and the Sovereign Saxophone Octet.

We may see some of you over the weekend. We'll have a stall at the University of Derby open day at The Dome on Saturday. The University is the Fringe's sponsor and we'll be displaying, for the first time, the new banners designed for us by the University's marketing team.

On Sunday we have the official launch party for the 2016 Programme. That is at The Green Man Gallery from 6.30-9.30pm. Glorious weather is in prospect so we'll be serving Pimms. We also have live entertainment from:
Egriega - see p16 of Fringe programme;
Far West Theatre - see p25;
Lewys Holt - see p10;
Darren Poyzer - see p14;
Will Hawthorne & Band - see p17.

All-in-all that should be a lovely evening. Do come and join us.
